In Mandelieu-La Napoule, between the red rocks of the Estérel and the Bay of Cannes, the Château de La Napoule looks as though it has stepped straight out of a fairy tale. Yet behind its neo-medieval towers and sculpted gardens lies a very real story: that of an American artist couple who fell in love with the place in the early 20th century. Today, the château continues to keep their vision alive through contemporary art exhibitions and artist residencies.
